“We’re excited to celebrate the official opening of Refinery at Pointe17 and expand our presence in one of the fastest-growing innovation corridors in the country,” said Angie Atkins, senior vice president of community management for Thompson Thrift. “This community reflects our commitment to delivering a high-quality living experience in locations where residents can benefit from both connectivity and convenience.”

Located near Interstate 17 at Dove Valley Road and 29th Avenue, Refinery at Pointe17 offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes with upscale finishes and thoughtfully designed amenities. Apartment homes feature stainless-steel appliances, hardwood-style flooring, tile backsplashes, walk-in closets, full-size washers and dryers and Alexa-compatible smart home technology. Select homes also offer private yards, patios or balconies.

Community amenities include a fully equipped 24-hour fitness center, yoga and spin studio, resort-style heated swimming pool, pickleball court, rooftop deck, coworking spaces, private focus rooms and offices, dog park and pet spa, community gathering spaces and more than 80 on-site electric vehicle charging stations.

Refinery is the residential component of Pointe17, Thompson Thrift’s mixed-use development that integrates multifamily living with retail, dining and service-oriented tenants. Businesses currently open or coming soon to Pointe17 include Oregano’s, Black Rock Coffee, Over Easy, Blo Dry Bar, Pepper Lunch, Handel’s Ice Cream, Heartland Dental and additional neighborhood-serving retailers.

The community is uniquely positioned near TSMC’s multibillion-dollar semiconductor campus and the future Halo Vista development, a mixed-use innovation hub currently under construction that is expected to bring significant employment, retail, hospitality and residential growth to North Phoenix. Together, the developments are helping transform the region into a major center for advanced manufacturing and technology investment, further reinforcing Greater Phoenix’s growing reputation as the “Silicon Desert.”

At the ribbon-cutting event, guests toured the model home and community amenities and attended a check presentation benefiting Southwest Human Development, Arizona’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to early childhood development.

“Supporting organizations like Southwest Human Development reflects our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where we build,” said Tamera Greene, vice president of community management. “We’re proud to partner with an organization that supports families and their young children to set them on a path to success.”

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Thompson Thrift has invested more than $7.2 billion in local communities and has become known as a trusted partner engaged in all aspects of development, construction, leasing, and management of high-quality real estate projects across the country. The company continues to expand its national footprint through strategically located multifamily and mixed-use developments designed to support long-term community growth and evolving market demand.
