SBSB Managing Partner John Schouest Ranked Among Legal Industry’s Top Leaders

Schouest honored by Lawdragon for second consecutive year

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--John Schouest, founding partner of Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier (SBSB), has for a second consecutive year been selected among the top echelon of U.S. law firm executives in the 2026 edition of the Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know.

Lawdragon cites its 2026 honorees as industry stalwarts who “inspire and lead as never before. They are impassioned, inclusive and represent a new era of what it looks like to lead a law firm.”

Mr. Schouest and partners Robert Bamdas, Brad Soshea and Limor BenMaier formed SBSB in 2015. The firm has grown from two dozen attorneys to more than 170 in eight offices nationwide.

“This honor recognizes the hard work of our attorneys and support staff to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients,” said Mr. Schouest. “We are grateful for the recognition.”

Mr. Schouest built his career with a focus on maritime law, representing some of the world’s largest insurance companies in complex multi-jurisdictional claims. He also is one of the industry’s leaders in Defense Base Act work and cases involving the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Under his leadership, SBSB has expanded to eight offices nationwide and in addition to maritime and admiralty law handles cases involving commercial litigation, appellate law, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, construction, energy, premises and products liability, workers’ compensation, and transportation and trucking.

Mr. Schouest also has been named to Lawdragon’s Leading Lawyers in America and 500 Leading Litigators in America guides and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America since 2008 and Texas Super Lawyers since 2013.
