NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MN8 Energy LLC, a New York-based leading renewable energy and battery storage company, today announced that it has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with Meta, under which Meta will acquire the offtake generated by MN8’s 80-megawatt (MW) Walker Solar Project in Juniata County, Pennsylvania.

This transaction represents the first agreement between the two companies. Meta will purchase 100 percent of the offtake generated by the project to support its efforts to add incremental generation to the grid and to continue matching their operations with 100% clean and renewable energy.

The Walker Solar project will provide lasting value to the Juniata County community by creating local construction and operations jobs, tax revenue, and strengthening central Pennsylvania’s energy infrastructure – while supplying clean, domestically produced power to the PJM Interconnection.

The agreement demonstrates MN8 Energy’s commitment to developing and delivering utility-scale energy infrastructure that its customers rely on, while supporting growing electricity demand and ensuring greater capacity, reliability, and resilience across the U.S. power grid.

“As demand for data centers and artificial intelligence accelerates, access to reliable, domestic energy has never been more critical,” said Moe Hanifi, SVP, MN8 Energy. “We’re proud to partner with Meta on a long-term basis and to build the domestic energy infrastructure needed to power the next generation of digital innovation.”

“We are thrilled to partner with MN8 Energy to bring new renewable energy to Pennsylvania and help support our operations with 100% clean energy,” Urvi Parekh, Director of Global Energy, Meta.

Walker Solar is currently under development in Juniata County, PA and is targeted to begin operations by the end of 2026.

Projects like Walker Solar play a critical role in expanding domestic energy infrastructure to support the next wave of digital growth.
