Waldom Electronics Announces 2024 ESG Award Winners

Recognizing Sustainability and Circular Economy Leadership in the IP&E Distribution Industry

ROCKFORD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Waldom Electronics is proud to announce the winners of its 2024 ESG Awards, presented during the annual Waldom Dinner held ahead of the ECIA Executive Conference earlier this week.

The Waldom ESG Awards represent the only ESG recognition program in the IP&E (Interconnect, Passive, and Electromechanical) distribution industry, honoring supplier and distributor partners who demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.

“At Waldom, we believe that businesses can and should be a force for positive change,” said Don Akery, CEO of Waldom Electronics. “These awards highlight our shared commitment to reducing waste, driving efficiency, and fostering a circular economy that benefits the entire electronic components ecosystem.”

Through the ESG Awards, Waldom evaluates partners across multiple dimensions—including environmental impact, operational efficiency, and contribution to the industry—using a transparent scoring model that compares performance relative to peers. The awards also celebrate participants in Waldom’s Green Stock Program, which helps minimize excess inventory and reduce environmental waste across the supply chain.
