PQS by Innovaccer Receives NCQA Data Aggregator Validation Status, Earns Validated Data Stream Designation

The latest recognition reinforces PQS’ commitment to Data Integrity, Driving Seamless Interoperability for Better Outcomes

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pharmacy Quality Solutions (PQS), an Innovaccer company and leader in pharmacy-payer performance technology, today announced that it has received the Validated Data Stream designation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as part of its Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) program. PQS is among the latest cohort of vendors to earn this validation, which reflects the organization’s commitment to data quality, transparency, and interoperability.

This designation confirms that PQS’ data stream with community pharmacies meets NCQA’s rigorous standards enabling a seamless, report-ready flow of clinical data between pharmacies and payers, helping both sides improve care coordination and outcomes.

Data streams that earn validation undergo a rigorous, end-to-end assessment of the quality and integrity of data, and the procedures used to manage and safeguard it. From ingestion at primary sources through transmission to end users, validation verifies adherence to NCQA’s process, system, and data standards.

Validated data streams are uniquely accepted by NCQA as standard supplemental data in HEDIS® audits and do not require primary source verification for HEDIS® reporting. The DAV designation helps stakeholders save time and resources while increasing trust in aggregated data for quality improvement initiatives.

“This NCQA Data Aggregator Validation is a testament to PQS' commitment to fostering innovation and trust in pharmacies and their accessibility of data," said Todd Sega, Managing Director of Pharmacy for Innovaccer. "By ensuring the highest quality of clinical information, we are not only strengthening the foundation for value-based contracting, but also enabling pharmacies to play an even more central role in coordinated care, leading to healthier communities."

Validated data flows are a vital step in achieving NCQA's vision of a digital measurement ecosystem and improve the efficiency of today's quality measurement processes.

“This is an important milestone as we keep building a more connected healthcare ecosystem,” said Abhinav Shashank, CEO, Innovaccer. “With PQS and NCQA validation, we’re strengthening the foundation that pharmacies and health plans can build on together. It’s a significant step towards making care more collaborative, and ultimately, more effective.”
