Los Angeles Home Care Agency Supported LAFD Firefighters

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LA Home Health Care provider 24 Hour Caregivers has stepped up to support communities impacted by the recent Southern California wildfires. The company has donated $2,250 to the LAFD Foundation's LA Wildfire Relief program as part of their "Caring Hands in Crisis" initiative.

The wildfires, which have devastated parts of Southern California, have disproportionately affected vulnerable populations. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recognizes that older adults and individuals with disabilities often experience greater challenges during all phases of disaster response and recovery. Tahir, along with Khosro Tahir, Manager of Social Impact, recently visited an LAFD training facility and met with Tara Gurlides, Development Director for the LAFD Foundation. The "Caring Hands in Crisis" initiative provides essential home care resources to fire victims, including trauma-informed care, physical and accessibility support, and practical assistance. Ten percent of the initiative's income is being donated to the LAFD Foundation's LA Wildfire Relief program.

The $2,250 donation is an initial contribution from 24 Hour Caregivers. "In addition to the SoCal Wild Fires, we have plans to continue contributing to our local agencies in the coming months. In our next donation, we plan to give to the Humane Society. At 24 Hour Caregivers, we love animals and we just want animals to be protected and if we can play any role in making a slight difference then we will continue on that path," Tahir added.
