Delaware High School Seniors Urged to Apply for Beau Biden Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Offered Through I Could Do Great Things Foundation

WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The I Could Do Great Things Foundation, founded in 2009 by Stuart M. Grant and Suzanne B. Grant, is pleased to announce the sixth annual Beau Biden Memorial Scholarship in memory of former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. This scholarship, in the amount of $10,000, will be given to a Delaware high school senior who plans to continue his or her education at a university of his or her choice, and who embodies the virtues of Beau. Beau Biden was a selfless man who exhibited qualities of leadership, community, civility, respect, and a strong moral compass. Beau was an accomplished attorney who served in the Delaware National Guard, was deployed to Iraq, and returned to Delaware to serve as the state’s Attorney General. In 2015, at 46, he passed away as a result of a brain tumor. Our hope is that this scholarship will not only inspire students to exhibit the strong qualities of Beau, but also regularly remind young people of Beau and the kind of person he was. In the last five years, 26 Delaware students have received Beau Biden Memorial scholarships totaling more than $130,000.

The announcement and application are available on the I Could Do Great Things Foundation website. Applications are due by March 22, 2022, and interviews will be held for the finalists over the following weeks. The winner(s) will be announced in April. The application can be found on our website: www.icoulddogreatthings.org.
