Rombauer Vineyards Honors Military Veterans

The Rombauer Family Donates to Veterans Organizations in Honor of Veterans Day

NAPA, Calif.--()--In honor of Veterans Day, Rombauer Vineyards is donating $35,000 to several military veteran organizations including the Gary Sinise Foundation, Warrior Rising and Big Sky Bravery.

The Gary Sinise Foundation, established by actor and philanthropist Gary Sinise, supports the nation by honoring defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families through several outreach programs. Warrior Rising helps veterans succeed in business, and the Big Sky Bravery organization supports active-duty Special Operations Forces.

Rombauer Vineyards has a long history of supporting military veterans, starting with winery founder Koerner Rombauer. Rombauer, who served in the California Air National Guard and was a commercial pilot, was a proud patriot and advocate for many veterans charitable organizations.

Today, the Rombauer family’s tradition of military service continues with Koerner Rombauer’s grandson, Staff Sergeant Seth Blackwood, who serves in the United States Air Force. Staff Sergeant Blackwood is a Tech School Instructor on the B-52 Stratofortress at Sheppard Air Force Base.

Koerner Rombauer’s legacy, the family’s continued service, and the winery’s employment of military veterans account for Rombauer Vineyards’ deep commitment to the veteran community.

“It is important to my family to give back to our communities and champion organizations that make a difference,” commented Reagan Blackwood, a member of the Rombauer family’s third generation. “I am proud we have continued our tradition of philanthropic giving, not only in support of veterans and current service members like my brother, but to many worthy causes across the country.”

In addition to contributions made in honor of Veterans Day, the Rombauer family donates to many well-deserving nonprofit organizations, including those with a focus on education, agriculture, health, and human services, first responders, and arts and culture.
