DataTribe Awards ContraForce and QuickCode.ai as the Winners of the 4th Annual Cybersecurity Start-Up Challenge

FULTON, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DataTribe, a global cyber foundry that invests in and co-builds next-generation cybersecurity and data science companies, announced today the winners of its fourth-annual DataTribe Challenge - ContraForce and QuickCode.ai. Each of these winners exemplifies the disruptive technology and thinking needed to make it in the competitive cybersecurity market.

The DataTribe Challenge is a unique annual competition that brings together entrepreneurs from around the world to identify technology startups with a vision to disrupt cybersecurity and data science. As the 2021 DataTribe Challenge winners, ContraForce and QuickCode.ai will move forward in the investment process with DataTribe with the possibility of each receiving up to $2 million in seed capital.

“Every year the submissions for The DataTribe Challenge impress our judges and make the decision more and more difficult. This year we had two extremely strong contenders for first place so we decided to award two start-ups, ContraForce and QuickCode.ai, as the winners of the challenge,” said John Funge, Managing Director at DataTribe.

Based in Dallas, TX, ContraForce is on a mission to democratize and simplify SecOps for the masses to effectively stop threat actors in their tracks. ContraForce helps businesses improve their ability to detect and respond to threats, so they can combat cyberattacks in a timely manner.

“Winning this award is an incredible honor and milestone for ContraForce’s start-up journey. The opportunity to partner and learn from this esteemed group of DataTribe partners will certainly drive our strategic approach to go-to-market success,” said Stan Golubchik, CEO of ContraForce. “As we move forward in the investment process with DataTribe, I’m proud of the effort our team has put forth to win this competition and compete against the best start-ups in the world for this award.”

Based in McLean, VA, QuickCode.ai enables organizations to unlock the insights trapped in text data to solve the data-labeling bottleneck that is inherent when deploying AI applications at scale. The company’s platform makes it dramatically more efficient for experts to precisely identify the right training data, thereby improving label quality while reducing labeling time and ultimately resulting in more accurate models.

“We are so thrilled to be recognized for this prestigious challenge that evaluates both team and technology. As we move forward with DataTribe, QuickCode.ai is ready to be propelled forward as we scale out our unique approach to making the curation of high quality training data for machine learning models substantially easier,” said Shannon Hynds, CEO of QuickCode.ai.
