Bridgit Welcomes BuildingConnected Founder Dustin DeVan to the Board of Directors

Dustin DeVan is an experienced technology executive with deep knowledge of the AEC industry.

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bridgit, a leader in construction workforce management, today announced that Dustin DeVan has joined the Board of Directors. In this role, DeVan will bring his unique experience as an entrepreneur and engineer to further amplify Bridgit’s mission in helping contractors leverage their workforce productively.

DeVan brings more than nine years of experience as a construction technology leader at BuildingConnected, followed by his experience at Autodesk as the vice president of industry strategy for construction. DeVan grew BuildingConnected to a network of more than one million construction professionals, through to an acquisition of $275 million by Autodesk in 2019. He is currently the CEO of Awair, a company that provides Indoor Air Quality monitoring to both consumers and enterprises.

Prior to founding BuildingConnected, DeVan worked as an engineer, scheduler, estimator, and project manager for six years at some of the largest construction companies in the US.

“Dustin brings extensive pre-construction, construction, and digital technology insights from his experience scaling BuildingConnected to thousands of contractors across North America,” said Mallorie Brodie, chief executive officer and co-founder of Bridgit.

“We’re excited to welcome Dustin to Bridgit’s Board of Directors,” said Lauren Lake, chief customer officer and co-founder of Bridgit. “Bridgit is in a phase of rapid growth and we look forward to Dustin’s contributions as we continue to scale across the AEC industry.”

“I have observed two key trends in the construction industry: accelerated digital transformation and sustained labor shortages,” said Dustin DeVan, chief executive officer of Awair and founder of BuildingConnected. “As the leading workforce planning platform for the construction industry, Bridgit is positioned for tremendous growth alongside these industry trends. I look forward to working with Mallorie, Lauren, and the other board members to help Bridgit bring intelligent workforce planning to the industry.”
