The Equilar Diversity Network Continues its Expansion, Welcomes Digital Directors Network in New Partnership to Support Advancing Digital and Cybersecurity Diversity on Boards

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Equilar, the leading provider of corporate leadership data, today announced a new Equilar Diversity Network partnership with Digital Directors Network (DDN). DDN is the only curated network of technology executives, corporate directors and organizations working together to improve systemic risk oversight and digital and cybersecurity risk oversight in the corporate boardroom.

DDN launched its Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) Boardroom Readiness Masterclass for Technology Executives in 2019 and is releasing its next Masterclass this summer for corporate directors to help them develop base competencies in digital and cybersecurity risk oversight, including understanding systemic risk in digital business systems. The DDN programs are the only executive and director development experiences focused on systemic risk and governing the digital business system. They are developed and taught by leading academics and practitioners in corporate governance, digital transformation, and cybersecurity. DDN’s members are Directors, CEOs, CIOs, CISOs and other executives working to advance the practice and profession of digital and cybersecurity governance.

“Digital and cybersecurity governance skills are table stakes for every corporate boardroom and our members are the most experienced executives and directors working to govern these complex issues,” said DDN Founder and CEO Bob Zukis. “The Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court is also expecting corporate board’s to proactively govern systemic risk, we’re teaching them how,” he added. Zukis is also an Adjunct Professor at The USC Marshall School of Business.

Equilar will host DDN’s Masterclass participant member profiles in its industry leading BoardEdge platform, supplementing more than one million board and executive profiles. The new partnership will make it even easier for boards and search firms to identify board candidates with the skills and experiences to shape the digital future. Diversifying board skills has never been more critical to meet the growing demands on boards and position to meet future governance challenges.

“We look forward to working closely with Digital Directors Network to provide a platform and additional visibility to board candidates that have a robust set of skills that continue to be in high-demand on corporate boards,” said David Chun, Founder & CEO of Equilar. “DDN members are the executives and board members that will shape the digital strategies of today’s global organizations for years to come.”
