Exym EHR Launches Exym Engage - a New Product to Support Virtual Care in Compliance with the CURES Act

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Exym, a leader in EHR software for behavioral health serving agencies across California, announced the launch of their new product Exym Engage - a set of thoughtfully curated tools to support remote work and virtual client care with electronic signatures, secure document exchange, and unlimited telehealth. The Exym Engage experience brings a robust set of features that providers can use to provide consistent mental health and human services both in-person and remotely, with new workflows designed to help comply with the new CURES Act requirements for making records accessible to patients upon request.

“Over the last year we’ve seen our customers navigate a major shift in how they use technology to deliver care when clients and staff aren’t always face-to-face,” says Beth Berger, CEO of Exym. “We designed Exym Engage to replicate the in-person experience as much as possible, creating an all-in-one solution that allows clinicians to move through their daily tasks from one centralized location. Exym Engage simplifies the virtual workflow so our customers can focus on what they do best: delivering great care.”

The new Exym Engage product includes the ability to:

  • Launch a telehealth session with clients right from the Exym screen and share documents with the client through secure messaging in the session itself.
  • Collect intake documents and file them in the client record, with clients and their families able to sign electronically from their phone or computer.
  • Communicate with clients between sessions through secure messaging that doesn’t expose any staff’s personal phone numbers or email addresses. All communication history is saved so it can be accessed in the future.
  • Retrieve the records clients requested electronically. Telehealth and secure messaging with HIPAA-compliant document exchange are powered by Mend and supported by their incredible bi-lingual support staff to help patients with any questions.

“We evaluated many different telehealth tools, and believe Mend stands head and shoulders above more generic videoconferencing – because it’s thoughtfully designed for the needs of our providers,” says Paolo Bettoni, Chief Product Officer of Exym.
