Florida A&M University Selects Recipients of Southern Glazer’s Against Social Injustice and Racial Inequality Scholars

MIAMI & DALLAS--()--Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (“Southern Glazer’s”)—the world's pre-eminent distributor of beverage alcohol—today announced the first recipients of its Southern Glazer’s Against Social Injustice and Racial Inequality Endowed Scholarship Fund at Florida A&M University. The Fund was established in 2020 as part of Southern Glazer’s commitment to supporting racial equality and will grant four scholarships a year for five years to deserving candidates that have an unmet financial need.

The Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits Social Justice Scholars receive $2,500 each for the Fall 2020/Spring 2021 Academic Year. The Scholars are:

  • Jeremiah Baptiste-Sample - Estimated Graduation Spring 2022 - Business Administration
  • Clayton Simmons - Estimated Graduation Fall 2021 - Business Administration
  • Freddie Brinson - Estimated Graduation Spring 2022 - Business Administration
  • Pierre Alsint - Estimated Graduation Spring 2022 - Business Administration
