Cleveland Area Books-A-Million Stores to Donate Books & Toys this Holiday Season

Book store chain celebrates the season of giving now through December 13

CANTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Books-A-Million will host its eighth annual Holiday Book & Toy Drive from now until December 13 at stores across the country. The “Grow Your Heart 3 Sizes” campaign encourages customers visiting Books-A-Million stores to purchase children’s books and toys to be donated to local charities, such as Akron Children’s Hospital, Camp Cheerful and The Centers for Children and Families, among others. This year the company aims to donate $2,000,000 worth of book and toy donations to benefit local charities.

“Seeing our communities come together for those in need is a heartwarming experience we look forward to every year — especially this year,” said Melanie Smith, Vice President of Marketing at Books-A-Million. “To date, we’ve donated over $10,000,000 worth of books and toys to kids and families, and our hope is that these contributions help brighten holiday celebrations and family time as we wind down this year.”

Customers are invited to take part in the holiday drive by purchasing a favorite book or toy in the store. Holiday selections to consider donating include “The Night Before Christmas” by C. Moore, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss and “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg.

All donations must be purchased, as new, from Books-A-Million. For more information or to participate in the drive, please visit booksamillion.com. A complete list of organizations partnering with Books-A-Million for this year’s Holiday Book & Toy Drive can be found at booksamillion.com/toydrive.
