Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Recognized as One of the Safest Places to Have a Baby

CLINTON, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH), a top 10 Missouri healthcare organization, has been recognized as one of the safest places to have a baby in the nation by the Joint Commission.

Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission is an organization that accredits more than 22,000 U.S. healthcare organizations and seeks to continuously improve healthcare for the public. The Joint Commission evaluates and inspires healthcare organizations to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.

Recently, the Joint Commission selected GVMH and Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare to present best practices, knowledge and expertise for cesarean birth and unexpected complications in term newborns to other healthcare leaders, managers and point of care staff to provide guidance to improve services and obtain better outcomes for patients.
