Ecolab Names Emilio Tenuta Senior Vice President of Sustainability

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, food safety and public health technologies and services, today announced that Emilio Tenuta has been promoted to senior vice president of Sustainability.

Tenuta leads Ecolab’s global sustainability programs and strategies. His work has helped advance greater understanding of the impacts of global water scarcity and the solutions available for better water management. He continues to lead the development of unique diagnostic and planning tools for broad industry use, such as the Water Risk Monetizer and Smart Water Navigator.

Tenuta began his career with the company more than 35 years ago and has led Ecolab in setting, guiding and reporting on its sustainability goals, and broadening the scope of sustainability within Ecolab’s operations. His leadership has advanced sustainable outcomes and generated significant reductions in water, energy, waste, greenhouse gas emissions and climate impact for Ecolab, its partners and its customers.

Tenuta received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Business from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He serves on the boards of the Council of Great Lakes Industries, the World Environment Center and Corporate Eco Forum, and chairs the sustainability council of The Conference Board.
