Lifesaving Addiction Treatment Offers Hope in Jackson, Tennessee

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--()--Spero Health, a CARF-accredited, community-based organization and national leader in outpatient addiction treatment, has announced the opening of their Jackson, Tennessee clinic. The Jackson Spero Health Clinic which marks the organizations 28th clinic, is located at 172 West University Parkway Suite A, and will open on Tuesday, September 10th to start seeing new patients — no appointment is necessary. Individuals who need addiction treatment services are encouraged to walk in for help or call: (731) 201-5590 for more information.

Spero Health accepts TennCare and participates with select commercial insurance plans to help ensure individuals have an affordable option which is often a barrier to treatment.

Dr. Dustin Inman, who is board-certified in Family Medicine and board-eligible in Addiction Medicine, will be the Medical Director and the lead physician at this clinic. A graduate of UT Memphis Medical School, Dr. Inman completed his residency in Jackson at the University of Tennessee Family Medicine Center where he was the Chief resident of the 2004 class.

Tennessee remains in the top 15 of all states in drug overdose deaths. The epidemic is a multisystem issue touching individuals, families, schools, agencies, and employers locally, regionally and nationally.

Steve Priest, Spero Health CEO said, “Our mission is to Save Lives, Instill Hope and Restore Relationships focusing on bringing solutions to individuals, families and communities directly impacted by the opioid epidemic. We believe it is critical to have a community-based option that offers high-quality and affordable addiction treatment services. Services that meet the needs of patients where they are in their recovery journey,” said Priest.

“Addiction is a complex disease and requires a specially trained team who can provide both physical and behavioral healthcare services. Spero Health is unique in that we blend both physical and behavioral services under one roof, making it possible to tailor treatment plans based on the unique needs of the patient. Being able to do this in an outpatient setting close to home means individuals can remain in their communities and continue working and caring for their families while receiving addiction treatment care. We are fortunate to have Dr. Inman, who brings years of valuable experience in the addiction treatment field as part of the team. He has worked and trained locally and knows the community very well,” Priest added.

Dr. Inman said, “Spero Health is changing the traditional approaches to addiction treatment by utilizing a model which focuses on integrated care to meet a broad range of needs. There isn’t a one size fits all approach to treating this disease. Each patient I see has unique needs and their recovery plans need to be individualized to meet those specific needs. Our goal is to not only save their life but help rebuild their life with tools that cultivate healthy relationships and life skills to achieve sustained long-term recovery.”

The Jackson location currently has several job openings. Spero Health is seeking qualified counselors, social workers and physicians for the new location. Applicants can view a list of job openings at https://sperohealth.com/careers/.
