Experts from The Standard to Present at 2019 DMEC FMLA/ADA Employer Compliance Conference

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Breanna Scott, director, Product and Service Management and Kate Wilkinson, J.D., senior director and assistant counsel for The Standard, are presenting May 7 at the Disability Management Employer Coalition FMLA/ADA Employer Compliance Conference. Taking place May 6 – 9 at the Hilton Portland Downtown, the conference will help employers tackle Family and Medical Leave Act/Americans with Disabilities Act (FMLA/ADA) complexity and find solutions to improve compliance of their programs.

Scott and Wilkinson’s presentation, Marijuana in the Workplace: Employer Considerations for an Evolving Trend, will be a panel presentation with Mary Kay O’Neill, M.D., partner, Mercer, and Kristin Williams, director, Human Resources, Woodward, Inc. Presenters will address the effect legalized marijuana use has on companies’ employment practices. In addition, they’ll address employment law factors, medicinal findings, HR policy impacts and clinical applications for workplace accommodations related to marijuana.
