BOSTON--()--Allure Security has hired Mikala Vidal as its new vice president of marketing. Vidal will drive the company’s go-to-market strategy, channel partner marketing, sales enablement, lead generation and communications.

“Mikala’s track record of implementing awareness and lead-based marketing strategies for cybersecurity companies of varying sizes makes her the ideal choice to help guide the next phase of Allure’s growth,” said Mark Jaffe, chairman and chief executive officer of Allure Security. “Her discipline and focus on creating alignment between sales and marketing—both direct-to-customer and through our channel partners—will be instrumental to increasing customer acquisition in the second half of 2018 and beyond.”

Vidal has previously worked in various roles to lead and support marketing and communications efforts for cybersecurity companies like WatchDox, Waterfall Security, Exabeam, Uplevel Security, Intralinks, NSFOCUS, and Cato Networks.

Vidal is also a big supporter of advancing the success of women in technology. She has volunteered her time as marketing consultant to ChickTech, a nonprofit organization dedicated to retaining women in the technology workforce and increasing the number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers. She’s also speaking at an event this month for Ladies Get Paid Boston, an organization that provides women with resources for career advancement, salary negotiation and professional development.
