CareCloud Teams with Google Cloud to Accelerate Interoperability Among Outpatient Providers

MIAMI--()--CareCloud, the platform for high-growth medical groups, has joined the Google Cloud Technology Partner Program, the company announced today. Through the new relationship, CareCloud will accelerate the continued expansion of its cloud platform with a focus on interoperability, leveraging Google Cloud’s Healthcare API. CareCloud gave its customers an overview of the technology partnership -- and how it will support the company's ongoing mission to continue to modernize the patient experience and improve practice efficiency -- at CareCloud’s first-ever user summit, CloudUP, held September 7-9 in Miami.

This new technology partnership comes at a time when healthcare is accelerating its shift to the cloud and stakeholders are intensifying their efforts to remove the interoperability barriers that get in the way of exchanging and interpreting data necessary to offer a seamless experience across different points of care. The Google Cloud Platform offers CareCloud an opportunity to accelerate its work to deliver true data interoperability, based on modern industry standards, and change the way data is used across every workflow within the ambulatory care setting.

“We are bringing together the power and innovation of two organizations that are designing the healthcare IT infrastructure for the next decade. Google Cloud’s expertise in organizing massive amounts of complex data and CareCloud’s expertise in making that data actionable to improve financial, administrative, clinical and patient engagement workflows are transformative,” said CareCloud CEO Ken Comée. “We’re excited to leverage proprietary technology that each company has developed and explore how we can expand upon it to accelerate the shift to the cloud among independent medical groups.”

CareCloud's platform will use Google Cloud Healthcare API as a normalized data store, leveraging CareCloud's proprietary real-time data streaming transformation algorithms. This work unlocks a seamless flow of data across multiple point of care systems, giving doctors a consolidated longitudinal view of their patients’ information. Beyond data interoperability, CareCloud focuses on modernizing medical practices by offering next generation cloud-based healthcare apps to optimize and integrate administrative, financial, clinical and patient engagement workflows.

“A big part of our healthcare IT modernization strategy is moving workflow tools to the cloud to give medical groups the flexibility they need to scale and operate within fragmented and dynamic environments,” said CareCloud CTO Josh Siegel. “Through this data convergence, we are looking forward to the revolutionary ways our customers and developers will be able to use this information to deliver quality care and value to patients.”

The CareCloud platform’s distributed, microservice architecture is designed to evolve with the state of the art in technology. The company continuously pushes the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare cloud computing, providing industry-leading security and compliance along with new innovations. Undergoing multiple web technology and services transformations while continuing to offer unrivaled uptime and reliability, CareCloud today sits at the intersection of Patient Experience Management, Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records all powered by open APIs allowing its ambulatory care customers and partners unprecedented flexibility, completely in the cloud.

CareCloud’s comprehensive health IT platform has received numerous industry awards and recognitions, including being rated by KLAS as a top cloud-based provider of revenue cycle management services for ambulatory practices in 2017. Most recently, its patient experience management software, Breeze, was named a finalist in the 2018 SaaS Awards Program in the category Best UX/UI Design for a SaaS Product. The company’s highly flexible, customizable, and modern platform is enabling CareCloud to rapidly deploy new features to clients serving patients across a wide variety of specialty medical practices, both large and small, in record time. CareCloud’s other solutions within its integrated cloud-based platform have also received UI/UX awards in the past thanks to the innovative, modern, and easy-to-use experience they deliver.
