Greenway Health’s Project Polaris is Redefining the Relationship between Ambulatory Practices and Technology

Company will share news about the next phase of its state-of-the-art healthcare technology platform at HIMSS18

LAS VEGAS--()--Greenway Health, a leading health information technology and services provider, announced today at the HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition that it has completed its first phase of a new project to significantly improve what’s considered the backbone of today’s physician practice: the practice management and electronic health record (EHR) platform. Named Project Polaris, the initiative has already led to surprising findings.

“By closely observing the way physicians work, we’ve been able to identify the common challenges to delivering quality care,” said Scott Zimmerman, CEO of Greenway Health. “From complex insurance verification and billing inaccuracies to real-time data access and patient engagement, we’re seeing there are better ways for technology to align with value-based care and help physicians achieve improved health outcomes.”

In October 2017, the company announced Project Polaris, which reimagines the way physician practices work and thrive in the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace. Over the past six months, Greenway conducted extensive user experience (UX) research that will shape the next phases of the development cycle. Partnering with a leading UX agency, Greenway spent days in a multitude of practice settings observing how it can adapt technology to improve the way its customers deliver quality care.

The platform will also reinvent ways for Greenway to support customers daily work — from end-to-end automated scheduling at a glance to frictionless physician documentation.

“Through these investments to better understand our customers’ needs, we have a deeper understanding of their barriers to quality care and can better support improved outcomes with our technology,” Zimmerman said. “We call that ‘designing for delight.’”

For the next few phases of Project Polaris, Greenway Health’s product and IT teams will begin merging the best attributes from its three ONC-certified flagship software solutions into its state-of-the-art, next-generation EHR and practice management system.

In addition, Greenway has selected physicians and various practice personnel — from IT experts to administrators to revenue management staff — to comprise Project Polaris’ customer advisory board, so the company can continue to receive direct feedback from customers on what they need most when successfully transitioning to value-based care.

Partnering with customers is a priority for Greenway Health. In January, the company earned the 2018 KLAS Category Leader ranking for ambulatory revenue cycle management services. Late last year, in KLAS’ 2017 Ambulatory RCM report, Greenway customers emphasized how they regard the company’s dedicated staff as trusted team members, saying Greenway’s staff seeks opportunities to improve operations and maximize revenue. A full 100% of respondents described Greenway Revenue Services as “a true business partner — stronger partnerships, more proactive — with above average quality of guidance.”
