SAN FRANCISCO--()--Williams-Sonoma, Inc. announces the launch of Pottery Barn 3D Room View, a new augmented reality (AR) application for Pottery Barn available on iOS for iPhone and iPad. With Pottery Barn 3D Room View, customers can virtually place life-sized, three-dimensional Pottery Barn products in a room, save and share room designs, and connect through the app to shop. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is among the first home furnishings brands to introduce an AR-enabled app, transforming the design process into a digitally-enabled, interactive experience.

“Our new Pottery Barn 3D Room View app for Pottery Barn puts the latest AR technology in the hands of our customers and is a key example of how Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is leveraging innovative technology to enhance customer experience and make the design process easy and fun,” said Felix Carbullido, Chief Marketing Officer, Williams-Sonoma, Inc . “It’s also an opportunity to expand our Design Crew offering by giving our design experts a powerful tool to help customers see how Pottery Barn products will look and fit in their space.”

Pottery Barn 3D Room View offers many ways to design a room. Customers can add items to a room to see how they will look and fit with existing furniture and décor, or start with an empty room to begin the design process from scratch. From there, customers can tap or swipe to add, remove or move items around the room, change the color and zoom in to see product details. Through the app, customers have access to over 1500 products in varying sizes, colors and configurations. At launch, the app will focus on living room categories including sofas, sectionals, chairs, coffee tables, side tables, rugs and lamps, and will continue to add additional product categories in the coming months. For customers seeking additional inspiration, there are seven different pre-styled living room looks curated by Pottery Barn design experts that can be customized for any space.

Pottery Barn 3D Room View features and capabilities include:

  • Virtually place life-sized, three-dimensional Pottery Barn products in a room by adding to an existing room or starting with an empty room.
  • Add, remove, or move items around the room.
  • Change the color, size or placement of an item.
  • Save and share your room design via email.
  • Connect through the app to shop from the Pottery Barn site.

Customers can enhance their Pottery Barn 3D Room View experience by scheduling a free design consultation with a Pottery Barn Design Crew expert to assist with the design process and offer customized suggestions.
