SHI Continues Record Growth with $2.2 Billion in Q3

Partnerships, cloud services, and Integration Center help SHI reach the new mark

SOMERSET, N.J.--()--SHI International Corp., one of America’s top 10 largest IT solutions providers, reached a new Q3 record this year. SHI generated $2.2 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase year over year, bringing its total revenue for the first three quarters to a highest-ever $6 billion.

Domestically, the Corporate and SMB sales division led with 20 percent growth, followed by Strategic and Commercial Enterprise with 8.5 percent. SHI’s UK division led all international sales divisions for the first nine months of the year with a 39 percent year-over-year increase, followed by SHI France at 9 percent.

The record revenue was driven by significant growth from both legacy and emerging SHI partners, including 20 percent or better year-over-year growth from five top-10 partners: Microsoft, Cisco, Lenovo, Apple, and HP Enterprise. Among emerging partners, Splunk, Palo Alto, and Atlassian highlighted a fast-growing segment, and each reached top-25 overall partner status for the first time this quarter.

SHI’s ability to develop and deliver IT solutions that meet the unique needs of its customers was bolstered in Q3 by continual investments in its Integration Center, a 300,000-sq. ft. configuration and logistics support facility that delivers customized technology from a breadth of hardware partners.

The strength of SHI’s partnerships was recognized during Q3 through achievements including reaching Amazon Web Services Managed Service Provider Partner status, and receiving the Citi Lean Partner Award for SHI’s high levels of service, performance, and collaboration with Citigroup, Inc.

“SHI’s simultaneous reinvestments in our Integration Center, emerging partners, and cloud solutions practice have paid dividends,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI. “Our team’s ability to anticipate customer expectations and design solutions that exceed them is central to our commitment to helping customers unlock value in every environment and at each stage of the IT lifecycle. The benefits are seen not just in our revenue or our expanded relationships with partners and customers, but also in the continued personal and professional growth and development of our employees.”

Other Q3 developments are ongoing. In early October, SHI cut the ribbon on its new Executive Briefing Center, a state-of-the-art venue for customer and partner meetings at its World Headquarters in Somerset. SHI has already held three customer Summits at the new facility, drawing hundreds of attendees interested in understanding the trends and best practices in security, mobility, data centers, and cloud optimization from industry leaders throughout SHI’s network of partners and customers. The last 2017 Fall Summit in mid-November is already sold out, but at least four more Summits are in the planning stages and will be held in Somerset in the spring of 2018.
