Tyler Technologies Signs Contract with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts for re:SearchIL Portal

Portal will enable improved access to court records for Illinois courts, attorneys, and judges

PLANO, Texas--()--Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today it has signed an agreement with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts (AOIC) for Tyler’s re:SearchILportal. Re:SearchIL provides a more efficient way for attorneys, judges and other constituents to access important case records and documents at any time and on any device.

Re:SearchIL is a web-based portal that provides immediate and secure access to a consolidated database of case information. The solution provides a simple, consistent way to view and obtain case records and documents from counties across the state, and it integrates with multiple case management systems to share that information.

“We are thrilled to begin the rollout of re:SearchIL and continue to improve access to information for the legal community,” said Marcia Meis, Director, Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. “By having a single point of access for case information from all courts, we expect that judges, clerks, and attorneys will all find value in re:SearchIL. The consolidation of case information will also help increase efficiency and transparency within our courts.”

The re:SearchIL application will provide many benefits to the Illinois legal community, such as:

  • Increased transparency and accessibility through a single portal to a unified, centralized database
  • Simplified access across multiple counties, regardless of case management system
  • Reduction of printed documents needed for judges
  • Increased revenue opportunity for courts
  • Secure access from any device, including PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones

All Illinois courts are able to begin using re:SearchIL, making their documents available through the portal. Courts will be the first to benefit from the improved access to information available through re:SearchIL, with judges, clerks, and parties to a case able to access case information as courts are integrated. The Illinois Supreme Court anticipates expanding access to re:SearchIL to attorneys and the general public in a phased implementation as remote public access policies are developed.

“The introduction of re:SearchIL is a significant advancement for Tyler as we continue to improve access to information for the legal community,” said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division. “The transparency and accessibility that the portal brings to courts, and soon to attorneys, will increase efficiency, and simplify processes. We look forward to expanding the re:Search solution to additional states in the near future.”
