AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pivot3, the technology leader in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions for the software-defined datacenter, today announced a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics. As a value-added distributor, Arrow will bring Pivot3’s fast, scalable and high-performing HCI solutions to its United States reseller base and play a key role in Pivot3’s OEM relationship with Lenovo.
The collaboration follows Pivot3’s August 2017 expansion of its Global Channel Partner Program, which was designed to help channel providers differentiate and profit as they address the fast-growing HCI market. Arrow brings a vast reseller community and will provide additional go-to-market capacity for Pivot3’s aggressive growth and expansion in the HCI market, while equipping its provider ecosystem with solutions to support a broader range of use cases, including data center modernization, end-user computing, big data and analytics, enterprise, database and mission-critical streaming media applications. In addition, Arrow will provide configuration services for Pivot3’s platform on Lenovo servers.
Pivot3’s Acuity HCI platform is the only HCI solution to combine a policy-based QoS engine with a non-volatile memory express (NVMe) flash data path, making it ideal for consolidating mixed-application workloads onto a common infrastructure. Recent tests showed that it provides six times the performance, three times the virtual machine density and 25 percent less hardware compared to other HCI solutions*.
“Arrow is a premier global distributor with significant experience supporting game-changing technologies like hyperconvergence,” said Mark Maisano, VP of channel sales, Pivot3. “As demand for our Acuity HCI platform grows, Arrow’s breadth, depth and expertise will be a tremendous resource for positioning our solutions through the channel. We’re eager to collaborate and work side by side with Arrow in supporting HCI adoption throughout the U.S. market.”
Pivot3 brings simplicity and savings to the enterprise datacenter by integrating storage, compute and networking on commodity hardware under an easy to use single-pane-of-glass. Our next-generation hyperconverged platforms are natively designed with policy-based Quality of Service and NVMe flash acceleration to enable IT to run multiple, mixed workloads on a single infrastructure while guaranteeing service delivery to the applications that power business results. With over 2,000 customers in 54 countries, and over 18,000 hyperconverged deployments in healthcare, government, transportation, security, entertainment, education, gaming, retail and more, Pivot3 is defining the future of autonomous cloud computing with smarter infrastructure solutions.
