Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) Hosts 11th Annual “Ante Up for Autism” Casino and Gala Event

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2000 that helps families living with autism navigate the challenges of the disorder. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the annual “Ante Up for Autism” casino and gala event, which will take place at the recently renovated Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, California, on Sat., Oct. 28, 2017, at 5:30 p.m.

Guests, sponsors, celebrities and poker professionals will come together for a casino-themed fundraiser hosted by TACA. Please join co-title sponsors Ira Hermann, CLU, ChFC of Capstone Partners Financial & Insurance Services, LLC; Josh and Courtney Ungaro; and co-presenting sponsors KROQ and Happy Family Brands for dinner, silent auctions and friendly poker games, all while raising money to provide Real Help Now for families affected by this prevalent and underfunded condition. All proceeds benefit TACA families.

WHY:

  • Almost 3 million people are living with autism in the U.S.
  • A new case of autism is diagnosed every eight minutes — 180 kids each day in the U.S.
  • Autism is on the increase and not slowing down. In 1970, the rate was 1 in every 10,000 U.S. children. Today, autism affects 1 in 68 children.
  • More children are diagnosed with autism each year than with AIDS, diabetes and cancer combined, yet the least amount of funding goes to researching this disease.
