PrismTech to Demonstrate Open Source FACE 2.1 Transport Services Segment Reference Implementation at NAVAIR FACE Exhibition and TIM

TSS open source implementation helps to deliver interoperability to the aviation sector

BOSTON--()--PrismTech™, a global leader in software platforms for distributed systems, will demonstrate its open source Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™) 2.1 Transport Services Segment (TSS) reference implementation at the NAVAIR FACE Exhibition and Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) on October 17 in Solomons, MD. The reference implementation is for use with PrismTech’s Vortex™ OpenSplice™ solution, a leading open source / commercial implementation of the Object Management Group®'s (OMG®) Data-Distribution Service™ (DDS™) standard. PrismTech will be demonstrating at booth No. 17.

The NAVAIR FACE Exhibition and TIM represents an opportunity for government and industry FACE contributors to share information about new FACE concepts, products and tools in a technically focused environment.

PrismTech’s open source TSS reference implementation provides a mapping-layer between the FACE Transport Services (TS) Application Programming Interface (API) and the standard OMG DDS API. The new TSS implementation supports both C++ and Java APIs and enables portable components to share and exchange data using DDS.

PrismTech has a strong heritage of providing standards based, open architecture defense and aerospace solutions. PrismTech's Vortex OpenSplice is being used in numerous mission-critical defense and aerospace applications, ranging from radar processors to simulation and next-generation network-centric systems.

Vortex OpenSplice is part of PrismTech’s Vortex Intelligent Data Sharing Platform, a suite of solutions for real-time device, edge and cloud data sharing based on the DDS standard. Vortex is a crucial enabler for systems that have to reliably and securely deliver high volumes of data with stringent end-to-end qualities-of-service (QoS). Vortex plays a crucial role in many mission-critical systems by ensuring that the right information is delivered to the right place at the right time.
