New Features and Capabilities Available in ObserveIT 7.1 include:
- File Activity Monitoring: ObserveIT now tracks file activity and alerts security teams when unauthorized downloading/exporting of files using internet or intranet browsers occurs. Now in beta, this new feature provides a powerful barrier to data exfiltration. The solution also provides alerts if a tracked file is being copied to the default local synch folder of cloud storage apps including Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, Box and OneDrive – and proactively tracks activity on downloaded/exported files, including copy, move, rename and delete. Security teams also have immediate access to evidence of the suspicious actions including viewing file history and video playback.
- Enhanced Alert Workflow: With one click, security teams can now speed collaboration and response by sharing information via PDF reports on risky behavior and specific incidents with people in the organization who do not have direct access to ObserveIT, including HR, legal and management. Additional new features include enhanced workflow to add multiple comments to alerts and to search alerts by comments, as well as bulk deletion of alerts when testing or tuning new alert rules.
- Clipboard Monitoring: ObserveIT now monitors text being copied to the clipboard and alerts security teams if the copied text contains sensitive keywords, extending capabilities to help catch unauthorized activity in real time.
- New Reporting Capabilities: In addition to ObserveIT’s already easy and powerful reporting features, teams can now generate reports on typed text (key-logging), SQL queries (DBA activity) and user text feedback.
