LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--()--Paula Cholmondeley has been recognized by Savoy magazine as one of their 2017 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors. Cholmondeley has served as a member of Bank of the Ozarks Board of Directors since May 2016 and serves on the Board’s Compensation Committee and CRA and Fair Lending Committee. The Savoy list recognizes African-American achievers, influencers and executives facilitating global change through their leadership.

Cholmondeley is the Chief Executive Officer of The Sorrel Group, a corporate governance consulting company founded by Ms. Cholmondeley in 2004. She previously served as Vice President and General Manager of Specialty Products for Sappi Fine Paper, a subsidiary of Sappi Limited. She has held various management positions with Owens Corning, The Faxon Company, Blue Cross of Greater Philadelphia, and Westinghouse Elevator Company, and served as a White House Fellow assisting the U.S. Trade Representative during the Reagan administration.

Cholmondeley, a former C.P.A., is an alumna of Howard University and received a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. Cholmondeley is a National Association of Corporate Directors (“NACD”) Board Leadership Fellow and part-time faculty member of the NACD In-Boardroom education program. Cholmondeley is also a director of Kapstone Paper & Packaging (NYSE: KS), Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX) and is an independent trustee of Nationwide Mutual Funds.
