Internet traffic is bursting with dynamic content from personalized and interactive applications. To achieve a great user experience, Software as a Service (SaaS) providers require a new approach to serve customers anywhere--free from Internet congestion and poor performance. The conventional brute-force method of building out dedicated infrastructure to ensure acceptable response times is neither efficient nor cost-effective. Enter Teridion, which leverages cloud technology to create Internet fast lanes.

“The age of everything-delivered-over-the-Internet requires a new approach to networking,” Gillai said. “Unacceptable response times are bad for customers and bad for business. With more and more data generated dynamically by applications and users, existing technologies like CDNs are not sufficient.”

He added, “Teridion’s KumoXSM service enables leading SaaS providers to focus on developing great apps rather than worrying about the network and rolling out extra infrastructure. They can grow their business as quickly as they want, wherever they want.”

Teridion Chairman Ronnie Kenneth said Gillai is well-positioned to drive new growth. “Saar Gillai is recognized and well respected in both the cloud and networking worlds,” said Kenneth. “He brings more than 20 years of building innovative and successful businesses and has held senior executive positions in top Silicon Valley companies including Cisco and HPE, as well as key leadership roles in startups.”

A current board member at Xilinx, Gillai served, until November 2016, as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of HPE’s Communications Solutions Business where he established HPE as a key player in the Network Function Virtualization space. Previously he was SVP/GM and Chief Operating Officer of HP Cloud where he played a vital role in driving and growing it into a full business unit, attaining the No. 1 market position in private cloud. Gillai joined HP via the acquisition of 3Com, where he was SVP of Worldwide Products and Solutions and a key architect in the reboot of 3Com into the enterprise space.

Teridion was founded by serial entrepreneur Elad Rave, who is Chief Technology Officer. Customers include Box, Egnyte, Merrill and Upthere (recently acquired by Western Digital).
