Ursa Announces Release of Weekly Reports of Caribbean Oil Stocks

ITHACA, N.Y.--()--Ursa Space Systems Inc. (Ursa) today announced the worldwide release of their Caribbean Oil Storage Report, the first reliable weekly report of Caribbean oil inventories.

“Ursa’s coverage of the Caribbean oil storage hub is a valuable early indicator of global oil supply and demand balances and plays a key role in regional crude markets as well,” said Matt Wood, Ursa’s VP of Sales and Marketing. The Caribbean islands serve as a “stopping point” for crude oil exporters in South America, Africa and the Middle East. If there is a quick surge of demand in the U.S., backup crude is available in the Caribbean.

“The Caribbean region is an important storage hub for global oil shipments, yet information about it remains a black hole to organizations that need to make informed decisions,” said Ben Cross, former Managing Director of Morgan Stanley. “Ursa’s weekly report provides invaluable insight into the understanding of Caribbean storage on global oil fundamentals.”

Ursa’s Caribbean Oil Storage Report is the newest release in a series of regional expansions to achieve global oil storage coverage in early 2018. “We specialize in responding to customer requests for information about parts of the world that are traditionally opaque,” said Adam Maher, Ursa’s Founder and CEO. “Our customers have emphasized the importance of the Caribbean and they appreciate our in-depth regional focus.”

Ursa’s subscription product covers over 250 tanks in 10 sites, representing approximately 100 Mbbls and 90% of floating-top capacity in the Caribbean. In addition, Ursa provides contextual information such as owner and whether each tank is associated with a refinery.

A subscription to Ursa’s weekly Caribbean Oil Storage is available for immediate purchase. Visit http://ursaspace.com/ursa-products/ to request an evaluation or contact sales@ursaspace.com for more information.
