The Osaka International Cancer Institute was established in September 1959 as the Osaka Prefectural Lifestyle Related Disease Center. In March 2017 it was renamed the Osaka International Cancer Institute and relocated to its current location. The Center consists of the hospital division, the research division, and the cancer control center.
