SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DSP Concepts, Inc., a developer of embedded audio solutions, is pleased to announce that John Whitecar has joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer. Co-founder Chin Beckmann will assume the role of CEO; she will continue to manage the overall strategy and operations of the company.
John holds 35 patents covering audio, acoustic, and receiver signal processing technologies. Before joining DSP Concepts, John grew and led the team responsible for all wireless technology at Tesla Motors. Prior to Tesla, he served as CTO of Infotainment Platforms for Texas Instruments. John was a technical fellow at Ford Motor Company and subsequently Visteon Corporation, where he developed system architecture for a number of telematics, infotainment, and software-defined radio products. John is respected around the world as the leading expert in automotive radio technology.
