CURE Media Group Welcomes Bright Pink as a Strategic Alliance Partner

The collaboration aims to spread awareness about early detection and genetic testing for breast and ovarian cancer

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--CURE Media Group, the nation’s leading consumer digital and print media enterprise focused on patients with cancer, recently teamed up with Bright Pink, a nonprofit organization focused on prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. The alliance will work toward educating the community about breast and ovarian cancer risk management and prevention methods.

“It’s an honor to collaborate with Bright Pink, which is a pioneer in the field of breast and ovarian cancer education. One in 8 women develop breast cancer in their life and this alarming statistic has inspired this partnership to bring much- needed attention toward early cancer detection for women,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr, president of Michael J. Hennessy Associates, parent company of CURE Media Group.

"Bright Pink is excited to work with CURE Media to educate more young women and their loved ones about being proactive with their breast and ovarian health through risk reduction and early detection,” said Bright Pink’s CEO Katie Thiede. “CURE Media's incredible reach within the health community will allow us to emphasize the importance of breast and ovarian health education, especially for those with a family history of these cancer."

Bright Pink is a national nonprofit organization on a mission to save women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering them to live proactively at a young age. The organization hosts Brighten Up® educational workshops to teach women breast and ovarian health basics, and early detection and risk reduction strategies. To provide unconditional support and encouragement, Bright Pink offers resources and one-on-one or group peer support for women at increased and high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. And, Bright Pink created ExploreYourGenetics.org as a resource for those considering genetic testing or those simply curious to learn more about genetic risk.
