Trak-1 Recently Awarded Lt. Governor Small Business Award of Excellence

TULSA, Okla.--()--Trak-1, a nationwide screening database, research and technology firm, received the Oklahoma Lt. Governor Small Business Award of Excellence for its growth in the small business sector and its development of jobs for Oklahomans.

As a part of the 19th annual Small Business Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol, Trak-1 Technology, along with two other Oklahoma-based businesses, received the Lt. Governor Small Business Award of Excellence.

“We are tremendously honored to receive this recognition from the state of Oklahoma,” said John Robson, CFO of Trak-1. “We have strived to serve Oklahoma while also growing in our own mission to assist clients in all 50 states with background and drug screening, compliance and research, and it is wonderful to see the hard work of our employees being noticed by others.”

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) nominated Trak-1, which is a technology firm delivering proprietary Web-based solutions for background screening and research. The organization nominated the Oklahoma-based company because of its growth and reputation within its industry and the wider business community.

“Congratulations to Nancy Lynn Roberts and Trak-1 on their recent Small Business Award of Excellence," said Jerrod Shouse, Oklahoma state director for the National Federation of Independent Business. "Being recognized by the Lt. Governor and the State of Oklahoma for this honor is a tremendous compliment."

In addition to Trak-1, Tri-State Industrial Group and Dyna Turn also received awards.

“It is humbling to be included with the other two businesses, who represent such high standards in their respective industries,” said John McLaughlin, SVP of Screening Services for Trak-1. “The future of Oklahoma will only get better with companies like Trak-1, Tri-State Industrial Group and Dyna Turn planting their roots and planning their futures in Oklahoma.”

Trak-1 was founded in 1996, and it has grown into a highly respected national screening, research and technology firm. The company’s consultative approach has proven to be invaluable to its clients in risk mitigation and compliance as it serves the screening needs of companies, landlords, and nonprofit organizations. In 2005, the company moved from Houston to Tulsa, and its growth has multiplied significantly since then.

“Tulsa is a wonderful place to live and work,” said Nancy Roberts, owner of Trak-1. “Our employees are happy to be here, and we’re finding that our location is facilitating our growth in every area. We are proud of the clients we serve, and Tulsa has provided a high level of talent among our employees at every level to allow us to serve our clients with excellence every day.
