Point B Acquires TNG Digital Experience Studio

Firm expands and rapidly grows digital capabilities during one of the most transformative waves of change for customers

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Point B Inc., an integrated management consulting, venture investment, and property development firm, has acquired TNG, a digital experience design studio with a 23-year history of success in helping companies increase innovation and agility in their content, communications and culture to drive exceptional digital user experiences. The acquisition of TNG complements and extends Point B’s award-winning expertise in strategic delivery, bringing customers the in-depth creative, development and technology capabilities they need to respond to the rapid pace of digital transformation.

“This is one of the most exciting investments in Point B’s 22-year history. Our customers face unprecedented and increasingly complex digital challenges, and they need to transform, and in many cases undergo a total business model reinvention, to stay viable,” said Point B Chief Executive Officer, Mike Pongon. “TNG’s creative, strategy and development capabilities are not only imperative, they will change the way our customers do business.”

Organizations who need real-world, data-driven customer experiences to differentiate their brand experiences and cultivate loyalty from their employees, partners and customers will benefit from end-to-end digital solutions from Point B, including strategic digital consulting, audience research, content strategy and design, solution architecture, custom applications and corporate website design.

“TNG has always believed that brand experiences make a lasting impact when technology systems, business strategy and human behaviors are complementary and connected,” said TNG Co-Owner and President Steve Marshall. “We’re excited to combine our nimble approach and unique Experience Roadmap methodology with Point B’s proven success in leading mission-critical initiatives to help clients find new ways to engage their customers, employees and partners.”

“The acquisition of TNG is not only a significant step forward for our customers, it’s great for our firm,” said Point B Chief Operating Officer EJ Blanchfield. “We took care in aligning our organization with a company that shares our values-driven culture and thoughtful approach to customer delivery. Our people are the brand at Point B, and the TNG acquisition extends that brand even further for our clients and communities.”

“I couldn’t be more proud to pass the TNG baton to such a great company,” said Doug New, Founder and CEO of TNG, who is leaving agency life with this transition. “For 23 years, TNG has put great people, great work and great relationships at the center of our business, and Point B is like us in so many ways. It’s a rare thing when a business shift feels as smooth as this does, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity ahead for this combined team.”

Point B’s acquisition of TNG also includes the purchase of their historic office building located in the South Waterfront/John’s Landing neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. This property offers long-term strategic opportunities for Point B and complements the firm’s existing real estate investments in Oregon.
