NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Actor and comedian Kevin Hart, E! News host Maria Menounos and digital health company Rally Health℠ will host a free outdoor event, Rally HealthFest, at Nelson A. Rockefeller Park in lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City on Saturday, July 29.
At this event - the second Rally HealthFest to be held in New York City and the fifth overall across the United States - Hart, Menounos and Rally® are celebrating healthy living with New Yorkers and calling attention to the simple steps anyone can use to take charge of their health and health care needs.
Similar to last summer’s event in NYC, which drew more than 10,000 people, this year’s Rally HealthFest will feature activities for the whole family including spin and Zumba classes; a fitness boot camp; a Kids Zone; prizes; healthy snacks and much more – all supported by Rally partner and NYC nonprofit Asphalt Green. Attendees can expect to see Rally Health Ambassadors Hart and Menounos – joined by Ron “Boss” Everline, Kevin Hart’s personal trainer – debut fun new moves while participating in group workouts, and sharing exercises that are easy to do. The activities are grouped into stations that demonstrate Rally’s four core pillars of health – MOVE, EAT, CARE and FEEL – and help people improve their health and well-being and become better health care consumers.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Rally HealthFest back to New York City with our Health Ambassadors Kevin and Maria leading the charge to promote healthy living,” said David Ko, Rally Health president and COO. “The inimitable energy of New York City and its people make it the perfect place to host this kind of event. We invite New Yorkers to come out and enjoy free outdoor activities, have the chance to meet Kevin and Maria, and learn valuable health tips that they can use in their everyday lives.”
“I love Rally HealthFests because they embody my passion around health, fitness and overall well-being," said Hart. "The events provide me with the platform to help spread the word about why being healthy is cool, and they enable me to interact directly with locals and fans. I can't wait to share my passion with the great people of New York!"
“I had so much fun at our last Rally HealthFest in San Francisco and am really looking forward to sharing a similar experience with New Yorkers. I love being able to engage with the crowd and try new things together - like doing exercises with a partner, challenging each other in brain games and picking up preventive health tips, all while having a fantastic time,” said Menounos, who hosts SIRIUS XM's Conversations with Maria Menounos in addition to E! News.
