Colorado Preparatory Academy to Celebrate Class of 2017 on June 2

Statewide Online School to Hold In-Person Graduation Ceremony

WESTMINSTER, Colo.--()--Colorado Preparatory Academy (CPA), an accredited, full-time online public school, will hold an in-person graduation ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2017 on Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at the Kenneth King Academic and Performing Arts Center in Denver.

Thirty-nine high school seniors will graduate from CPA, which serves students statewide in kindergarten through 12th grade. The school specializes in programs designed specifically for advanced learners. College-minded students can choose from a broad range of courses in order to gain a competitive edge for the future and discover their path after high school.

CPA also gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school and offers a post-secondary preparedness program that ensures students attending the school are prepared for college.

“This graduating class is a motivated and passionate group,” said Nicole Tiley, head of school at Colorado Preparatory Academy. “We are so excited to celebrate with them today and can’t wait to see what their futures hold.”

Anigha Collins is CPA’s Class of 2017 valedictorian, and Cailey Nagel is the salutatorian. Dr. Becky Takeda Tinker, president of Colorado State University-Global Campus, will deliver remarks to the graduating class, and CPA teachers and staff will be in attendance to recognize the students’ achievements.

The Class of 2017 has been offered $28,000 in college scholarships. The graduates report that they have been accepted to colleges and universities across the region, including University of Colorado, University of Northern Colorado, University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, Metro State University, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, Community College of Denver, Laramie County Community College, Pikes Peak Community College, Community College of Aurora, Front Range Community College and Arapahoe Community College.
