HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has again been named the Technology Advisory House of the Year by Energy Risk magazine. The award, which celebrates excellence across global commodity markets, was announced in Houston recently at the Energy Risk annual awards.
Accenture received the award in part for delivering large-scale trading transformation projects across several leading energy trading companies and for growing its presence in the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, where it supported the regional expansion of several LNG shippers and operators. Accenture was also recognized for expanding its geographic focus on energy markets that are undergoing significant market reform across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
“Over this past year, we expanded our industry-leading capability to serve a number of clients in the various commodity trading hubs across the globe, with a focus on executing our clients’ strategic objectives, performing M&A integration, driving market reform and readiness programs, and teaming on various commodity expansion opportunities,” said Baris Ertan, a managing director at Accenture who leads the Trading and Commercial practice in the company’s Resources operating group. “It’s an exciting time to see our practice scale and evolve as we continue to deliver many of these large-scale transformations across Accenture’s five key disciplines of strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations.”
In 2015, Accenture’s North American Resources group acquired Structure, adding some 200 professionals to Accenture’s roster, boosting the company’s trading and risk delivery team, and expanding its ability to deliver large, complex energy trading and risk-management projects and to support its clients’ business operations and technology.
Structure received the Technology Advisory House of the Year award in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, and Accenture received it in 2016 and this year.
