HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alpheus Communications today launched flat-rate pricing for carrier Wavelength Services to its 13,000 on-net and near-net locations, giving carriers access to high-capacity connections at 1 gigabit and 10 gigabit per second speeds. The new pricing is designed to meet the growing demand from carrier end-user customers that need high-bandwidth connections for their offices, operating locations and data center facilities.
Wavelength services with flat-rate predetermined pricing gives carriers predictable pricing for high-capacity network services needed to connect customer locations. Carriers gain the additional benefit of being able to easily update pricing tools for within their organization, which leads to quick generation of quotes for their customers. With traditional wavelength services, pricing is developed on a case-by-case basis because construction costs vary by location. As Alpheus continues to invest in constructing last-mile fiber, the expanded fiber network makes it possible to offer flat-rate wavelength services to buildings on its fiber routes.
“With our rapidly growing Texas metro networks connecting over 300 carrier POPs, 40 data centers, and new on-net buildings coming online daily, this simplified wavelength pricing is the next logical step toward making multi-Gigabit services easily available to carriers,” said Scott Widham, CEO of Alpheus Communications. “The strategic investment in our fiber network will continue to create opportunities for our customers from additional on-net locations to new product offerings and pricing advantages.”
Alpheus is attending International Telecoms Week (ITW) in Chicago, May 14-17, 2017. For additional information about Alpheus Carrier Services and flat-rate wavelength pricing, contact Ryan Lahmann, Alpheus Vice President of Carrier Sales, email@example.com or visit us online at www.alpheus.net.
