SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cavirin Systems, Inc. announced today that the company is the recipient of the 2017 TiE50 award. Winners were announced at the organization’s annual conference, TiEcon. This award was preceded by another recognition for the company’s cloud security vision, the Stevie Award Tech Startup of the Year in the Software category.
“We are honored to be a winner of these awards that celebrate entrepreneurship, innovation and technology. This recognition goes hand in hand with our customers’ adoption of our technology as a testament to the technological innovations along with the talent of the Cavirin team,” said Dave Ginsburg, vice president of marketing at Cavirin. “Together with our growing team, we look forward to bringing more peace of mind to our customers with the only security solution that truly spans hybrid environments, on-premise, AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, and Docker.”
Earlier this year, Cavirin released its next-generation platform offering cloud scalability combined with a DevOps-friendly API-first architecture. It offers the transparency required for enterprises to de-risk their cloud migrations by simplifying security configuration management and continuously checking their posture against known security baselines via a customizable dashboard and workflow.
The TiE50 scoring is done on each company’s IP, business model and team. This process pares down the applicant pool of more than 2,000 companies to 300 best-of-breed semi-finalists. This pool is further vetted through a second level of selection process to 100 finalists and then 50 top startups.
The company will be hosting a webinar called “Lifecycle Container Security - The CISO's Perspective” on May 25 at 2 p.m. PT, with special guest Izak Mutlu, former Salesforce CISO. The webinar will look at best practices across the containers’ lifecycle, including image scanning within CI/CD process, container OS hardening, and orchestration security with Kubernetes.
Cavirin is the only company providing continuous security assessment and remediation across physical, public, and hybrid clouds, supporting AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, VMware, KVM, and Docker. The company’s solution helps organizations leverage the cost savings and agility of the cloud without increasing operational risk or reducing their security posture.
