CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the premier resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), is launching the 1st Annual School of Nursing Oncology™ symposium, to be held August 4-5, at the Loews Vanderbilt in Nashville, announced Phil Talamo, president of PER®.

PER®’s 1st Annual School of Nursing Oncology™ Symposium will consist of two days focusing on various topics including clinical advancements, patient counseling, palliative care, and management of disease-related and treatment-related morbidity. The format will allow participants to engage with the faculty of expert oncology nurses and share their experiences on clinical challenges. The co-chairs for this symposium are:

- Beth Eaby-Sandy, MSN, CRNP, OCN, thoracic oncology nurse practitioner at Abramson Cancer Center at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
- Laura S. Wood, RN, MSN, OCN, renal cancer research coordinator at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute
