Ryder Executives to Present at the Automotive Logistics Supply Chain Conference

(NYSE:R), a leader in commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions, today announced that Ryder will be the Premier Sponsor of the Automotive Logistics Supply Chain Conference, held in Georgia at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, from May 8-10. Additionally, Mel Kirk, Ryder SVP and CIO and Scott Perry, Ryder Chief Technology and Procurement Officer will each present at conference sessions held on Tuesday, May 9. This year’s conference theme “Through Silicon Valley Eyes” will focus on the importance of seeking out new ways to address old problems and turning traditional supply chain thinking on its head to transform efficiency.

Mr. Perry will be a speaker at the conference’s opening session, which will focus on how the car industry will develop in the next decade, as well as outline where the inbound automotive parts sector is really heading and what companies should be doing about it. Mr. Kirk will present at the session titled “Brain over brawn – why smarter thinking will dominate tomorrow’s supply chains.” Attendees will have the opportunity to develop a clear understanding of what carmakers are looking for from their suppliers and logistics providers in terms of smarter approaches and how inbound and parts supply chains should deliver it.
