SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Benchmark Communities (“Benchmark”), a leading national homebuilder known for its award-winning approach to customer service, is thrilled to announce that eight of its dedicated employees were named finalists in six different categories in the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area’s (“BIA Bay Area”) 2017 Excellence in Homebuilding Awards for their considerable contributions to the homebuilding industry over the past year. In further news, Benchmark’s Roger Barrientos was selected as the Sales Professional of the Year, chosen over candidates from other leading homebuilders including Taylor Morrison, Lennar Homes and The Ryness Company. Benchmark’s strong performance in the BIA Bay Area 2017 Excellence in Homebuilding Awards follows its tremendous success in another leading industry awards competition, the Eliant Home Buyers Choice Awards, where it won 16 awards across multiple categories in March.

In addition to Mr. Barrientos, Benchmark’s finalists included:

  • Raquel Herzog – Escrow Coordinator of the Year
  • Jessica Fletcher – Options Team of the Year
  • Sarah Yoro – Design Professional of the Year and Options Team of the Year
  • Celeste Magri – Sales Team of the Year
  • David Gottlieb – Sales Team of the Year
  • Dennis Kirn – Customer Service Rep of the Year
  • Jose Segura – Customer Service Rep of the Year

“We are so proud of all eight of these team members for their outstanding performance not only in this prestigious competition, but also for the substantial contributions they have made at our company over the past year – and longer,” said James Fletcher, President of Benchmark Communities’ Bay Area Division. “All of them have helped us further the growth of our brand and our mission of delivering high quality homes and award-winning customer service, and they are more than deserving of this recognition.”

The BIA Bay Area Excellence in Home Building Awards recognize the homebuilding industry’s most outstanding builder, sales, marketing, and trade professionals who have distinguished themselves by working hard to deliver their best each day for the betterment of our industry. All finalists were recognized at an awards dinner earlier this month at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

Mr. Fletcher added, “In leading industry competitions like this one and the Eliant Home Buyer’s Choice Awards, we are up against the best of the best from multiple national and regional homebuilders. Our ability to routinely be a strong performer in these competitions is certainly impressive and reflects the quality of our employees and the strength of the Benchmark brand.”
