Senator Ayotte, 48, most recently served as a United States Senator for the State of New Hampshire from 2011 to 2017. Prior to her election to the Senate, she served as New Hampshire’s first female Attorney General from 2004-2009, having been appointed to that position by both Republican and Democratic governors.
Ayotte’s appointment as Senior Advisor to Blink Health follows her exceptional leadership of the White House’s confirmation team for Associate Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.
“Too many families are struggling with higher deductibles, higher co-pays, higher premiums and less choice,” said Ayotte. “We are in the midst of a drug price crisis, with millions of Americans unable to afford their generic and branded medications. Key drivers of change will be technology and innovation that provide transparency, lower prices and improved pharmacy experiences. Blink Health is paving the way in this area, and I am excited to work closely with William Doyle and Matthew and Geoffrey Chaiken to make prescriptions more affordable for all Americans.”
“Blink Health’s mission is to make prescription drugs affordable for all Americans. Blink operates at the intersection of technology, business, and public policy,” said Executive Chairman William Doyle. “Kelly's distinguished career and dedication to public service uniquely qualifies her to provide strategic advice and counsel to Blink Health's senior management team. We are fortunate to have her in this important role.”
During Ayotte’s tenure in the Senate, Ayotte was ranked as one of the most bipartisan senators working across party lines to find solutions to our nation’s biggest challenges. Senator Ayotte chaired the Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness and the Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation Operations. She also served on the Senate Armed Services, Budget, Commerce, Science and Transportation, Homeland Security and Government Affairs, Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Aging Committees. On the Commerce Committee, she served on the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation and the Internet.
Senator Ayotte took a lead role in passing the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act, a comprehensive response to improve prevention, treatment and recovery efforts to address the nation’s opioid addition epidemic. She helped pass legislation to improve mental health first aid training, suicide prevention programs, and the treatment of eating disorders and was named 2014 Legislator of the Year by the National Council of Behavioral Health.
In addition to being named a Senior Advisor with Blink, Ayotte was recently elected to the News Corp’s Board of Directors. News Corp is the parent company of numerous publishers including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and The New York Post.
Blink Health’s Senior Advisors constitute an advisory board of distinguished leaders who provide advice and counsel to Blink’s senior management and Board of Directors.
