NEW YORK--()--Sisense, disrupting the BI market by simplifying business analytics for complex data, announces the launch of Sisense Pulse, which provides proactive, smart and easily consumable notifications about a user’s most important business events, in real time when changes occur. Sisense Pulse leverages machine learning technology to analyze and learn data patterns to detect and proactively alert users to anomalies, inspiring business users to take action. This new alerting system deeply personalizes the BI experience, and makes it even easier for users to track the KPIs that matter most to their business.

With Sisense Pulse, business users are given the power to automate KPI tracking in a systematic way, removing the need to review and monitor multiple dashboards and run manual analyses to identify outliers. This feature enables business users to be more in tune with their key KPIs, and arms them with the insights they need to immediately take action when an anomaly occurs.

“By continuing to tap into the power of machine learning with the introduction of Sisense Pulse, we are furthering our mission to lead the BI market by making insights easily accessible to everyone,” said Amir Orad, CEO of Sisense. “Businesses today are faced with more pressure than ever to quickly analyze and interpret intensely complex data. There is no longer time to wait for manual reviews and static alerts. To stay competitive, companies need BI and analytics tools that are proactive, intuitive and that enable them to take action in real time. A system that makes its users smarter versus relying on the user's own guidance.”

Sisense Pulse is able to detect anomalies without users having to define outliers and variations at the outset. By leveraging machine learning technology, Sisense Pulse learns key metrics based on historical data to determine what is normal and what an acceptable variation is at any given moment. If that metric varies significantly from what the system has learned it should be, it sends a smart alert in real time, inspiring the user to take action.

“We feel that Pulse is one more example of how machine learning enabled BI can be transformative for Envision, and for our customer’s businesses,” said Todd Knapp, CEO of Envision Technology Advisors, LLC. “Sisense does an incredible job of turning silos of data into consumable intelligence. Adding alerting helps us to take immediate action on that intelligence. However, adding machine learning-based alerts allows us to react to patterns of change that we might otherwise never notice.”

Sisense also enables users to create a fully automated workflow using Zapier or another generalized webhook framework. The insights generated by Pulse and its machine learning capability are immediately actionable throughout the organization, triggering automatic actions with other internal systems. Examples include automated meeting scheduling, order placement or staffing requests — the possibilities are endless when it comes to process automation.
