Divine Imaging, Inc. Captures $60 Million Department of Defense Contract

MALIBU, Calif.--()--Divine Imaging Inc., a woman-owned federal government contractor, beat out 23 competitors for a contract award worth $60 million on the U.S. Department of Defense electronic mall, where the company sells products to the U.S. military, the DOD recently reported.

Divine Imaging Inc. was awarded the contract from the DOD’s Defense Logistics Agency as an “indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity” contract for commercially available items serving military customers including the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, among others, the DOD said. Indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts allow for an indefinite quantity of products for a fixed period of time. They are used when the quantities of supplies that the government will require during the contract period cannot be precisely determined. IDIQ contracts assist in streamlining the contract process and speeding up delivery.

Kimberly Devane, Divine Imaging’s founder and president, launched the business in 2002 as an ink and toner reseller, and soon expanded into office product sales to the federal government within the General Services Administration’s Multiple Awards Schedule program. The company has since grown into a multi-category “one-stop shop” for government buyers. The company now holds 19 government contracts through which it offers over 350,000 products in categories such as tactical, hardware, office supplies, packing and shipping supplies, consumer electronics, computers and peripheral equipment, janitorial and hospitality supplies, and more.

“Federal government buying practices are constantly evolving with the markets and new technology. Divine strives to keep up with the changing needs of its federal government customers, and this latest contract award allows us to do that,” said Devane. “I have been working closely with Divine’s CEO Larry Abbott for two years to obtain this award. It is the culmination of hundreds of hours of work on our part, and it is a reflection of the confidence that our government customers have in us. We are grateful that we will be able to continue to build our company with this contract, and provide opportunities for career growth to our outstanding team.”

Divine Imaging’s latest award with the DLA consists of a one-year base contract with four one-year option periods. The contract maximum is $60 million over the life of the contract, the DOD said. The termination date of the contract is March 20, 2022.
