Joseph Federico Announces NJ MET’s Participation at the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages 2017 Conference in Tampa Florida, Booth 913

NJ MET will participate in the DMSMS Conference for the seventh consecutive year. This year's conference is being held on December 4-7th 2017 at the Tampa Convention Center.

CLIFTON, N.J.--()--Joseph Federico, Vice President and Director of NJ MET, Inc., has announced NJ MET’s participation in the electronic testing exhibition and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) conference. The Conference will be held at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, Florida Booth 913 from December 4th – 7th 2017.

“We are looking forward to participating in our seventh consecutive DMSMS conference and to collaborate with the electronics industry on current obsolescence issues,” said Joseph Federico from NJ MET’s headquarters located in Clifton, NJ. “In addition, I plan to conduct a mini series of electronic component testing lectures at our booth throughout the conference,” added Joseph Federico.

Obsolescence and DMSMS are often used interchangeably. DMSMS is the lack of sources or materials; obsolescence is lack of availability due to statutory, process and design changes. An obsolete product refers to the product in question not being needed anymore, and DMSMS is driven by financial needs pushing a product out of production, but not necessarily out of use.
