CENTENNIAL, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Evolution Digital today announced that the company has signed a certified guide renewal agreement with TiVo to deploy eGUIDE™, a newly-designed interactive program guide (IPG). eGUIDE, powered by TiVo Metadata, will feature rich graphics and a navigation scheme designed similarly to TiVo’s current i-Guide®. The new solution provides cable operators in the United States and Canada with an IP-capable alternative to easily migrate legacy set-top boxes using i-Guide.
eGUIDE is available on Evolution Digital’s IP Hybrid eBOX®, which can be configured to support all-IP video including live linear channels, IP video on demand, network DVR and catch-up TV. eGUIDE features a 16:9 HD format, rich graphics as well as navigational features similar to i-Guide. eGUIDE is enabled by TiVo’s enhanced metadata services, which helps users easily find their favorite TV shows and movies, as well as discover new content across various channels.
