AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Convey, the leading customer-centric delivery platform, today announced it will moderate a panel discussion of retail industry leaders at Home Delivery World 2017 in Atlanta on March 14.
The speakers from Neiman Marcus, Build.com and Serta Simmons Bedding will discuss freight delivery challenges, opportunities and success stories in the fastest growing online categories, including where the market is headed, and the role of technology in getting there.
Research shows that 72 percent of shoppers expect to receive the same delivery experience regardless of shipment size. Unfortunately, final-mile freight deliveries are riddled with exceptions and pose a unique set of customer experience and communication challenges.
These issues are compounded by the fact that a single retailer can have upwards of six freight carriers nationally, with various service levels, tracking and visibility, and ways of communicating. Interestingly, 94 percent of shoppers will blame the retailer for a bad delivery experience, while only 42 percent will blame the carrier.
The panel moderated by Convey VP of Product Matt Howitt will discuss how retailers can improve communication and visibility for freight shipments, and take back control of the customer experience.
